1kg/2.2lbsslow cooking beefcut into 2-3cm diced (note 1)
¼cupplain flour
450mlcream
Instructions
Add all ingredients EXCEPT plain flour and cream into the slow cooker. Mix well. Turn onto slow cook HIGH function and cook for 4 hours.
After 4 hours is up, in a separate bowl, combine flour and cream and whisk very well, until there are zero lumps. Add the cream mixture into the slow cooker, and mix well. Keep on slow cook HIGH for 1 further hour.
The sauce should now have thickened nicely and your steak Diane is done! Serve with buttery mashed potatoes and steamed veggies of your choice.
Notes
NOTE 1 - chuck steak, blade steak, gravy beef, are all excellent choices for slow cooking meat. Stay away from rump, its not good at slow cooking.
